S-Tease-D's

Psssst.... Over here! SShhhhhh! Come closer. No, act casual. Listen! You want a sneak peek in on my Save The Dates? You've been so patient, I feel you deserve a little tease.

Actually, I'm just so freakin' excited I can't contain it anymore! Behold, our Save The Date envelope - complete with the badass wraparound label the gals at Elizabeth Anne Designs* created for us, and the gloriously adorable "love: all heart" stamps. The actual STD's will arrive on Monday, according to fedex.... but we wanted to be ready for them. Now we can just stuff, and send!

What do you think?

Isn't the label divine?!? Way to go Ami & Bekah!

We used Paper & More's Jupiter Red A7 envelopes, which are pearlescent. They have just the right amount of shimmer, without being "glittery". They feel nice to the touch (don't snicker, I'm a tactile gal), and are a really nice stock weight. I highly recommend Paper & More. My postal carrier screwed up the delivery. I called the company to verify my address was correct on the order, and they sent out a fresh delivery immediately, and upgraded my shipping to priority, just because they're that nice.

Now, seriously, I never thought I'd care what stamps we used. To me, it always sounded like the mark of a compulsive bride. Didn't think I was that bride. But after we saw how gorgeous those labels came out, and how pretty the envelopes looked, it would feel disrespectful to use the correct postage for this letter weight:

(no offense, Trudeau)

Yes, I have now fully embraced my compulsion... How about you? Have you gotten carried away on the little details?

*Yep, the same EAD who made Miss Avocado's unique and beautiful invitations!

I have not gotten that far in my own planning, but I think i may be easily swayed towards personalized stamps too... its a small indulgence :)

Your Teaser of your STD just making me drool for me, can't wait to see the whole thing!

I am loving them and can't wait to see the whole project! The envelopes are particularly nice. I'm thinking I may just need to scoop up a batch of those in a nice blue shade for our impending STD affliction. :-)

They look great so far! I can't wait to see the rest- and I can completely relate to the stamp thing. I never thought I would care, but the other day someone sent out a letter at work with a neat little kiwi stamp on it... I have been thinking about it ever since. Kinda creepy.

I flippin' adored my custom Zazzle stamps. It makes it hard to use regular issue stamps now though. Yep, I'm insane.

Just found out my save the dates are in fedex limbo - no one seems to know where they are. Please send good fedex mojo my way!
