We *heart* photobooths. If we had all the money, we'd have one as a permanent fixture in the house, just for fun. And we'd probably jump in there once or twice a day to take some really silly cute, and sweet photos peppered by the occasionally obsene. Cuz that's how we roll, yo. So, immediately we knew that a photobooth was a top priority for our reception. Lots of our friends are actors and/or hams, so mayhem is sure to ensue :)
It took some real time and scouring online to find a company who fit our criteria (old school style booth, CD Rom of all the pictures included, fast printing, and plasma TV slideshow of photos as they're taken) along with being a pleasure to work with. Then along came the great team at Classic Photobooth and we were sold!

(retro happiness in a box!)
They offer both the classic style and digital photobooth options, as well as arcade game rental, casino tables, temporary tattoo and henna artists (go figure). Their customer service is awesome - very fast responses, informative and appreciative. Classic Photobooth services the following states: New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, and South California (San Diego, Los Angeles, San Franscisco). I really feel confident in our selection, and would definitely recommend contacting them if you're in the market for fun!
I can't wait to see all the fun pictures that our guests take, and I hope they enjoy themselves. We can use the CD Rom to upload the pics to flickr for everyone to see and share, and also create a photo album keepsake for ourselves.
I'm crafting up a cardstock photo-matte with our logo or some cute graphic on it and magnet tape on the back for people to attach their strips to after they print. That way, they can take it home and put it on their fridge of office cubicle. I know I love seeing my friends' photo strips... they're always good for a laugh or three!
Have you been to a wedding with a photobooth, or are you planning to have one at your shindig? What other fun treats do you have in store for your guests?

we had a classic photo booth at our wedding, and it was the single best splurge we made. our guest book is priceless, and everybody had a great time in the photo booth
however, i have to say i am JEALOUS that you found that particular company -- i would kill to have all the photos on cd, and didn't know that was possible if you weren't willing to go digital with the booth (SO not an option, i mean really! the pictures don't look the same AT ALL!). also, it looks like this company has cuter booths than the one we ended up with. but really, those are minor complaints and my overall feeling is that i would not trade my guests' photo booth pictures for anything!
I LOVE photo booths! And I really want one at our reception. Photography is something I refuse to skimp on, and for me, a photo booth is part of that. I wish that Classic Photobooth had operations in Texas. I know of one vendor (so far) that is local that I could use for a booth, but I don't remember if they're all digital photos or not. I'll have to check....
I was thinking about a photobooth until I found out the prices. Even on a budget, the 1400 budget is still too much for me. I am going to go the DIY way. Big sheet for the background, digital camera setup, some software, a computer and a printer.
Brideshare idea!
I love the photobooth idea too and ebm is right, great brideshare idea to pass along. I haven't investigated what type i want, but i think the company you found is great :)
I love the photobooth idea and always thought it was out of my budget. Thanks to your blog, I might be able to get one! I clicked on the link you provided, and realized that all the pictures on the website were of my old college roommate. Her dad owns the company! Maybe I'll get a price break. lol
want one but thats super expensive ...even i would think for a "broke-ass bride". already spending 3k on photographer, plus this! thats hard to imagine.
@Amanda: YEA! Thanks for the encouraging words :)
@Kristy: good luck!
@ebm: That's a great idea!
@anonymous1: Six degrees....
@anonymous2: Thankfully, I don't have to worry about high photography commission since ours is donated, but I certainly understand the concern! Maybe DIY?
Thanks fo sharing this. I will be checking out there website.
We're having a photobooth after having been to a friend's wedding that had one. Everyone had such a great time, and I spent a little time at her reception looking through the awesome guestbook. We are going with Cheesy Photobooths because their price was reasonable, and you get a lot of things you don't get from other companies. It was the first thing I knew I wanted when we decided to have a wedding.
I love love love photo booths! Desperately want one, but we don't have them here. Now my decorators are setting up a "photobooth" area as consolation, as ebm suggests. Enjoy yours!
We used Cheesy Photobooths for Our Wedding and it was The Best Splurge Ever. Our Guests loved the photobooth, there was A Line all night long and we have The Best Guestbook Ever. I highly recommend squeezing it into your budget -- it was well worth it.

For those of you looking at DIY photobooth solutions (someone mentioned a background and a computer) you might look at photoboof.com. It's not cheap, but if you have everything else (camera, computer, printer) it's notably cheaper than renting one.
This is such an awesome idea. I just found your blog. I love it!!
You seem amazing, wish you guys the best!
